An anthology film where 18 filmmakers and their varied casts become strongly intertwined through characters and themes from the haunting story collection of Australian writer Tim Winton. The result transforms the variety of many anthologies into a tight, masterful kaleidoscope as characters return with different faces and issues at different points in their lives on the West Australian coast. Through directorial eyes, we share the wonder of reading and its idiosyncrasies as well as Winton’s powerful writing.
